Point your 0800 number anywhere… mobile or landline!!

An 0800 number is basically just a number with a lot of services provided with it; and which is pointed to a landline or a mobile phone number. By “pointed”, it is meant that the 0800 numbers itself doesn’t require you buy an extra telephone set or to buy any other telecommunication equipment that is any call received on your 0800number will be forwarded to the landline number or mobile phone whatever you have. So, an 0800 number is basically linked to your existing number which is used as the medium of using your 0800 number.

These numbers can divert your call traffic any where you want for example if you want your landline calls to be received on your mobile phone because you will not be in the office for off hours. So, the time schedule is just to be given to the service provider and he will divert your calls to your mobile phone according to the schedule given by you. So, you will never miss any call.

A lot of people use a landline for business and divert it to their mobile when they are out and about. Firstly set up an 0800 number and have it pointed at your landline. Then, when you leave your office, set up a divert on your landline to your mobile. This usually involves punching a code into your phone. The 0800 numbers will follow any divert you set up on your landline. You need to check what the transfer costs will be from your landline to your mobile – the charges can be quite hefty and will vary significantly from one carrier to another.

You can also set up  0800numbers and have it pointed at your mobile phone permanently. Set up fees, rentals and call charges are normally higher as the perceived risk for the carrier is greater. The second method can still prove to be more cost effective then the first method. Start up businesses often prefer the second method as they may not have manned offices from day one.
